Then closer to the date, use FIND A STORE to find a participating independent bookstore. And then drop by for a visit on April 30, meet some authors, show support for indie bookstores, and have a great time!

If you're an author
At this point, unless you have a bookstore willing to host you on April 30, there is little value in signing up. Please read the FAQs for Authors. This is an entirely volunteer-run grassroots event. We don't have the resources to match authors with bookstores; we rely on authors to be proactive and contact stores.

If you're a bookseller and you haven't participated before in AFI first read the FAQs for Booksellers. Then if you decide you're interested in hosting authors at your store, click on the SIGN UP link below to register your store in our database. One sign up per store location please! If you participated last year, welcome back !

If you're a publisher
Is your pubilishing house on our publisher list? If it is already, go ahead and SIGN UP for an account. This gets you on our newsletter list and you can log in to track your authors. If not, contact us and we'll add your house to the database so your authors can sign up. You should SIGN UP too, to support your authors!
